Description of program
The Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program is all about personal and leadership development. Although about seven percent of cadets go on to join the military, JROTC is not designed to direct students to military service. The program’s mission is to motivate young people to be exceptional citizens.

If you are interested in developing soft skills or leadership skills for employment. JROTC positions that are highly attractive for college and scholarship applications.
This program is a great introduction to and preparation for the following careers
JROTC prepares students for careers in the military and governmental as well as leadership positions in corporate and nonprofit organizations.

Coursework
Academic classes on leadership and citizenship. Practical exercises in leadership and drill. JROTC participates in several service projects each year. The program also has three competitive teams: Rifle Team, Drill Team, and Raider Team. Rifle team is competitive marksmanship like in NCAA sports or the Olympics. Drill Team is a precision drill. Raider Team does outdoor adventure activities and competes in physical fitness contests.
